One Thing Down And A Gazillion More To Go

One down!!  The guy came today to put in our new shower.  We went from a tub & shower combo to a walk-in shower.  I'm excited - thinking I would be able to be the first to use it - nope.... It has to sit for 24 hours so that the silicon caulk can set.... awwwww, dang it!!!  I get this new toy & I don't get to play with it.  I can only look at how pretty & fun it is... grumble, grumble, gripe....

Tomorrow is MY first day of school.  I have a Superintendent's Conference meeting tomorrow, and another again on Tuesday.  Classes start on Wednesday.  Speaking of school & just one more thing to add to the gazillion..... I got the Lego King's bus schedule - morning pick-up will be at 7:08 a.m. 8/10 of a mile up the road.  Yep!  So I call the Transportation Office and do you know what they told me?  Well, they were trying to have the bus driver go in a big 'country-type loop', and since he's the ONLY student down our road, can't I just bring him up to the corner or let him walk?   It's so the bus driver doesn't have to come down ALL that way, because it's out of the way for her.  Oh puh-leeze.... I PAY my school taxes & just because he's the only kid on our road this year (there are 2 other kids, but they're still in elementary school)... the school district is REQUIRED to pick up my kid.... I'm disgusted.... and it's even my home-district... I just told them forget it.  He will ride in with me, UNLESS I am sick & THEN I will call them and they can COME & pick him up AT our house.

Friday is the day the pool is going in.  And I can't forget to take Willy to his first (whispered) V.E.T. appointment - at least with our vet.

Then Saturday, King Turd will get home in the morning, sleep for a couple of hours & then we'll leave & head camping.  It's supposed to be a crummy weekend - 50-60%  chance of rain on Saturday & Sunday, nicer on Monday.  Who cares - a bad day camping is better than a good day at work!

I decluttered some today when I cleared out the bathroom closet for the shower guy.  I actually didn't have to do that, but didn't know, so I thought I was being helpful.  It's ok... I got rid of a garbage bag full of stuff that had expired or we didn't use anymore.  I put the new unused stuff in the donate box.  It's so nice to know that I don't have to store that box when it gets full.... It can just be GONE!!  *doing a little happy dance - hey, no laughing!!!

I also made 18 breakfast sandwiches for the freezer.  I'll try them & let you know how they turn out.  I made 2 of each using a bagel thin, english muffin or croissant; ham, sausage or bacon; they all had 1 slice of cheese & one egg on them.  We're each trying one for dinner.

Bye!  Love you!  Have a good day, Dear!

Back in the Saddle...again

Well I'm back in the saddle agaaaiiinnnn... (can't you just here Gene Autry singin' away?... No?... maybe it's just me then).  That's what I was really hoping to be singing today.... a lot..... at least a lot more than I did.... I was hoping to get back in the swing of decluttering.  Last week was chaotic with the yard sale (We did pretty good, I was VERY surprised) & not much nothing in the way of 'keeping house' was done around here.  Now it's a last minute rush before school starts next week.

I did vacuum the rugs.... yup... I vacuumed the rugs.... woo hoo for me!  Ok, so sometime before I go to bed, I'll throw a load of laundry in and I'll empty the dishwasher & load it.  Oh wait... I DID take the trailer with all the yard sale trash to the dump, I forgot.  THAT is something!!  AND I stopped & got a permit for the pool to be put in.  Yesterday at my family reunion, my Uncle told me that if I didn't, they might make me take it down & THEN put it back up AFTER I got the permit.... so, to avoid that scenario I decided I'd best get a permit first... So there, I guess I did three things today that were on my list.... Did I tell you we were given a pool?  Our wonderful, former neighbors, GAVE us their pool!  We had a guy come last week & check to see if it was ok to move.  Yep!!  Woo hoo, can't wait!

The Princess, the Lego King & I did go to the library & spend a good hour or two there.  This month some of our local libraries are displaying memorabilia from 9/11.  The piece that is at our local library is an aluminum piece of facade.  It's twisted and scratched & it still has dirt/cement dust clinging to it.  It evokes such strong memories.  I wanted to reach out & touch it, but it would have been like touching something sacred.  I wanted to see if it felt cold or warm.  I wanted to know if a shock would run through my body - knowing all of those people died touching this piece of architecture.  I wanted to sob again for them, for the people still living, for their loss.  For America's loss.  It's funny, how my life changed that day - how my safety was shattered.  I haven't ever felt the same.  I remember how quiet our world got.  Seriously.  No planes flying - no sounds in the air.  I believe that that silence was a once in a lifetime experience.  One that I stopped & truly listened to.

It seems funny - funny strange, not funny ha ha - to carry on, ten years later, still moving forward, living, decluttering, having yard sales, getting ready for school.  And then there's the day when it seemed like the earth stopped.  The kids were watching cartoons & King Turd called me & said 'Some jerk just flew into one of the Twin Towers!'  I can remember switching to the Today Show & Katie Couric was reporting live from the studio - watching live footage of the crash, when we watched the second plane hit the other tower.  The stunned look on her face & in that instant knowing that it was deliberate & not just a random accident.  I can remember saying to King Turd.  "Oh my God, oh my God!  Another plane just hit the second tower.  We're under attack!!  I could not wait for him to come home that night to hold him.  I remember hugging the kids & then asking the them to please play in their room that day.

Do you remember what you were doing on that tragic day?  Is your life 'normal' once again?

Bye!  Love you!  Have a good day, Dear!

Are You Stinkin' Kidding Me?

Are you stinkin' kidding me?  I cannot believe how much crap stuff  one family can have.  Yesterday the kids & I* set up the portable garage to get ready for the yard sale on Friday & Saturday.  Today the Lego King & I* moved stuff from our shed to the garage.... and we haven't even moved all of it yet..... There are still some camping things that we're going to get rid of (we don't use or our family has out-grown them.  Then there are round clothing racks that I bought when I had my dream of opening a children's clothing consignment shop.  Plus the hangers & cash register & all of the stuff that goes with it.  THAT'S all still in there.... I didn't get that out yet.... Holy crap!!!  I haven't even started unloading the stuff from the house yet!!

I'm really quite amazed at all of the excess that I could get rid of easily.  The stuff that didn't cause too much 'pain' to get rid of - the stuff that was a 'no brainer'.  There is still stuff that I could have gotten rid of had I had more time.

There are two ways of looking at it.  The first is to go through each room and FULLY purge, rearrange & organize your stuff.  I started out that way - it got too overwhelming for me.  Too many things to detach from, too many details & things for me to do to see some type of result.  The second way to do it, is to go through fairly quickly (giving about as much time as you can in that moment) and get rid of the no-brainer stuff.  Things that don't take alot of thought.  Things that don't matter much in the big scheme of things.  Things that your family definitely no longer uses or you've out grown.  This is what I ended up doing.  I have been able to get through many places alot quicker than if I'd reeeeallly done a full & thorough job.  Now the disadvantage is that I'll have to go back through it again.  The advantage is that I have piles of crap stuff in a short amount of time for this yard sale.

Here's the deal.  At least this is what I think I'll be getting out of this process.  By the time I get to the end of my first round of decluttering, I should be pretty good at it.  Right?  So I'm thinking that when I go back around again I'll be able to detach from things even more & get rid of even more.  I know that it is a process, one that will take me quite awhile to accomplish.  Every time I have cleared an area in a room - or organized it - or whatever, I feel I can take even bigger steps to get rid of stuff.  And the super weird thing?  I LIKE it!!!

*Lest you think that King Turd of Poop Mountain & the Princess were slacking, he was working and she was invited to her best friend's birthday dinner.

Bye!  Love you!  Have a good day, Dear!

Livin' High on the Hog!

Recently, I've been feeling like we've been living 'high on the hog'!  It's a cross between having everything die at once, awesome Opportunities, Emergency Savings and a little Disposable Income.

This past fall we got a new-to-us-Motor Home/RV/Camper that my Aunt wanted to sell (Thanks, Aunt Gail!).  It's something that King Turd of Poop Mountain always wanted to have and we got it at less than half of it's Blue Book value! (Opportunity + Disposable Income).

Then we got a new kitchen stove when we found out our oven had a gas leak.  Not because we wanted to, but you know, we didn't want to blow up.  I know - we're weird like that. (Emergency Savings)

We've gotten a bunch of little things - things that make my life easier, nicer, prettier... Things like the new apothecary cabinet for the bathroom (Opportunity + Disposable Income) - Found it at the VOA for $50 - a steal!

Our kitchen faucet started leaking so we had to get a new one.  We decided that we liked the sprayer in the faucet itself (because over time, the one that is separate leaks back down under your sink - ask me how I know).  The thing is, if we got that we couldn't put our water filter back on the faucet.  Sooooo, we got a water filtration system + the cute little faucet that we get water out of now.  (Emergency Savings)

We've had to replace lights - over the kitchen sink - they're halogen & they've dried out the little clippy things (we didn't want to catch fire - I know, weird) - so I wanted to replace the lights only - but they've since changed the channel-track thingy that they clip into & I had to buy a whole new light unit.  (Emergency Savings)

Two new hanging lights in the kitchen (over the stove & over the table)  Two glass shades at the Salvation Army for $2.99 (they're $17 @ Lowe's), 2 pendant lights $5 each on clearance @ Lowe's (regularly $16) and 2 swag kits $12 each.  Two new lights for $40!!  That's a $50 savings!! Yeah me!  (Opportunity + Disposable Income)

We just took a trip to North Carolina to pick up Willy.  It would have been cheaper to have him transported up here than taking a trip down there.  However, that was our part of our family vacation (the first was going camping at an Amusement/Water Park over 4th of July).  We saw parts of the country that none of us had seen before PLUS we adopted another rescue.  (Totally ALL Disposable Income)

We can't forget the medical bills for poor Ozzy (upwards of $1000), our Jack Russell who ended up having a rare form of cancer this past fall.  Then our rescue adoption of Jill - our Mountain Feist.  (Thank God for Disposable Income!!)

We've got our winter's supply of wood pellets (Opportunity + Savings)  Got a reeeeallly great deal at Lowe's.  We were looking at $250 a ton for wood pellets.... Anyhoot.... happened to be at Lowe's & their pellets were on sale for $197 a ton!!!  We haven't seen that price in about 4 years!  Ka-ching!!!

Thennnnn, if that's not all enough..... we're having our shower re-done.  They're coming next week.  We're having the tub/shower removed & putting a big walk-in shower in.  One of those in & out in one day type of deals.  It was more than what I really wanted to pay - but again, King Turd really wanted it (he makes the bulk of the money & pays the bills) and he felt it was worth it (Savings).

I happened to be at a local plumbing & heating supply store (that has this wonderful outlet center) just before we left for NC & saw this bead board that you put along the bottom of the wall.... for $2.88 a sheet!  For $30 I could re-do the bathroom.  I found a $5 oops paint color that I love at Value Home Center a month or so ago.  So I think I'm going to run & grab enough to do the bathroom.  (Opportunity + Disposable Income)

And finally - we were given a pool.... Yup!!  The guy is supposed to come today to see if it's worth it to move it.  If it is, it would be $1000 to have them take it down from where it currently lives & set it back up here at our house.  A new pool of the same size would be about $4000.  (Opportunity + Disposable Income).

It's weird.  To have all this money... for years & years my ex only gave me $40-$60 a month to feed & manage a household of 4 (The Princess was a baby at the time & still in diapers. That amount was for my gas & any incidentals that I might need to purchase).  Then, after he left, we lived off of Child Support & Alimony, which was not steady - so I paid ALL the bills I could, WHEN I could.

Fast forward 15 years, new husband better life, me working - my income is, as King Turd says, 'Gravy'.... It's the topping on the cake, the best part.... the Disposable Income.... the pretties, the nice, the extras.... I am so blessed to come across or be offered Opportunities, to have Disposable Income and a most of all a wonderful, husband who saves for those Emergencies.

My life is SO different.  It's amazing how things change so very, very much.  To go from barely scraping by to Livin' High on the Hog!

What makes your life 'High on the Hog'?

Bye!  Love you!  Have a good day, Dear!

Rollin' In The Dough... right....

This is the week that tops off my summer decluttering spree.  On Friday & Saturday, I'll be having my garage sale.  Minus the frame & timber garage - so technically it's a yard sale - however, we're putting up our portable garage.  So does that still count as a garage sale?  I'll be making up signs & I'm debating whether I want to spend the money to put it in the paper.  It's a minimum of $10, which is cool, I can afford that.  It's the 'and up' part that I'm worried about.  How much is 'and up'?  I don't want to spend all of my profit.  It's not like I've got a huge big money sale going on here.  I just want to get rid of the crap stuff.  'Cause, you remember before when King Turd of Poop Mountain said that 'any decluttering AFTER the sale can go directly to the Salvation Army/Goodwill'.  THAT is the part I can't wait for, to tell you the truth.

I think I'm going to put up the portable garage on Tuesday (hopefully in the morning) and then add in the tables & such.  Then I'll be able to start putting things in.  I think I'm going to just put stuff on tables & in boxes not marked.  And just have a 25 cent/50 cent/$1 tables.  I think people are pretty honest about where they got things, if I can't remember.

I don't really expect to make tons of money - although that would be realllllly nice.  I do need a little bit of money for the beginning of school.  That first paycheck takes time to appear in my account.  I'm doing it different this next year.  I took the pay option of 26 weeks instead of the 21.  I can still save money, & have spending money, but I won't have to skimp & worry through the summer quite as much.  At least that's the plan.

Speaking of dough.... the other kind of dough.... I'm planning on making some cinnamon rolls & freezing them for fast breakfasts for school.  I've never tried this recipe before, nor have I frozen rolls before.  I've been reading up on the best way to do it.  Should I just freeze them - uncooked?  Or should I bake them for 15 minutes & then cool them & then freeze them?  I've found arguments about the quality of both ways.  I guess I'll just  have to experiment.

The other breakfast foods that I'm thinking of making are Breakfast Burritos and Egg Mc-muffins.  The burritos are easy.... we do those at camp.  Soft shell taco, scrambled eggs, bacon/ham/sausage & cheese.  Roll them up & you're ready to go.  Egg Mc-muffins sound pretty easy too.  A reoccurring theme that I never thought of was to BAKE the eggs... who'd a thunk?... then they come out round & fit on the muffin.  We have a bread outlet store near us, so I'm going to stop there & get the muffins - not sure if I'll get bagels or english muffns.  Guess I'll have to have some input from the hoard family.

What are you doing to PRE-pare for the school year?

Bye!  Love you!  Have a good day, Dear!

Star Light, Star Bright!!

We live out in the middle of nowhere.  No city lights to bother us.  We can hoot & holler all we want (my mother is close enough, that when the wind is just right we can actually holler back & forth!!  She lives 2/10 of a mile down the road).  We can walk to the clothesline in our bra & get a shirt off the line.... oh wait.... that's just me...  I can wear my pj's out to walk the dogs.  AND we can watch meteor showers in the dark of night!

Just this past week marked the annual Perseids meteor shower.  Around the 10th-11th of August, every year we have the wonderful opportunity to watch God's own fireworks show.  Last year, friends happened to stop by & we went out & laid in the backyard and caught the show with the kids.  We had so much fun.

This year we were on our trip to North Carolina to pick up our newest family member (whose name we think is going to be Willy.  He gives the most thorough wet willies you've ever had) and we missed the peak night of shooting stars.  The Lego King & I thought we'd try anyhow & went out last night & laid in the grass for about 45 minutes.  You MUST give your eyes time to adjust to the dark.  They say when you can make out ALL of the stars to the Little Dipper your eyes have adjusted to the right light to see shooting stars.  The problem with the Perseids showers this year was that there was a full moon.  It's best when there is little to no moon and no cloud cover.  Oh well, we tried.

We wrote on the calendar when the next meteor shower will be.  If you're in the Northern Hempisphere & you have nothing better to do on October 8th, join us in watching the Draconid meteor shower.  It's supposed to be a 'nearly full' moon, but hopefully we can see some shooting stars.  The site that had some really great information & dates was StarDate.  If you can't make the October 8th date then there are others showers & dates.

Check it out.  There is nothing better than laying on your back, looking up at the stars & laughing with your children and/or friends.

Bye!  Love you!  Have a good day, Dear!

Even though the August Perseids showers were a bust for us, we thought we'd give it a try last night.

Welcome to the Family!

We're home again after our whirlwind tour of North Carolina.  Ashville, that is.  And if you have to get realllly specific, Brother Wolf Animal Rescue.  We went there to adopt our newest family member, currently his name is Tito, but we're not sure that's the one that will stick with him.
He's an 8 wk old, Chihuahua baby.  His two sisters, Willow & Wren,  are looking for homes too (if you're interested).

We had originally planned to leave on Saturday morning, but we took off on Friday instead.  Bigfoot & his girlfriend stayed & watched Jack & Jill and Stubby.  We got back around 9:30 last night.  Like I said, a whirlwind tour.

King Turd of Poop Mountain and I have been busy cleaning up, doing up dishes, laundry & vacuuming... funny how Bigfoot STILL doesn't do chores... I'm stunned (are ya gettin' the sarcasm here?).

Anyhoot.... everyone seems to be settling in.  Jill is a little rough.  I think she just wants to play and doesn't realize her own strength.  Jack isn't quite sure of him yet.  Although in time I'm sure he'll bask in the adoration that he's receiving.  For the time being, everyone has their own spot with 'Daddy'.
From left to right:  Jill, Tito & Jack.

Bye!  Love you!  Have a good day, Dear!

"Free at Last! Free at Last! Thank God Almighty..."

"Free at Last! Free at Last! Thank God Almighty, we are free at last!"  At least that's what Nana-Next-Door & I are saying.  Remember me talking about Bigfoot's car being dead?  Since the end of June my mom & I have been transporting him back & forth to work.  His work hours are pretty decent to work into our summer schedule (12:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.), so it hasn't been bad.  It's just nice to know that he has reliable transportation.

The Princess and Bigfoot are from my first marriage.  The shocker to this whole vehicle thing is that my ex BOUGHT this vehicle, insured it & licensed it under HIS name.  He has been saying all along that he'd buy it, then when Bigfoot was done with it, he'd resell it.  Bigfoot had to insure it himself.  Then a week or so ago he said that he'd buy it, Bigfoot would insure it, THEN he'd give it to the Princess when her brother was done with it.  Well, zippity-do-dah!!  That's what we were hoping for to begin with.

Last night after work, I drove Bigfoot over to his dads to pick up the truck (it's a little Ford Ranger) then I followed him home, albeit jerkily (is jerkily a word?)... It's 5-speed & he's used to automatic so when he'd shift, I'd see the poor lil' truck jerk & twitch.  He'll get used to it.

The Princess has yet to see 'her truck', so I'm sure she'll be anxious to give it a spin.  We also know that she will read her big brother the riot act about being gentle with HER truck!  The good thing about this truck is that it's little.  You can fit 2 people in it comfortably - 3 if you squish.  No way can you fit more than 2 grown boys men in there however, you could fit 3 teenage girls in there.  Thank goodness for the law that says a Jr. Driver can only have 1 passenger, not related to them in the vehicle at a time.  Not that the Princess is a bad driver, she's not.  It would just eliminate some 'distracted driving' issues.

So, no more getting to chat with Bigfoot on a regular basis again. *sigh*  I miss that chat time.  I miss him.  We really do raise them with the idea that some day they will leave the nest.  And at that time we can shout, "Free at Last!  Free at Last!  Thank God Almighty!  We're free at last!".... or not...

Bye!  Love you!  Have a good day, Dear!

Warm as Toast!

Today Lowes is coming with our winter supply of wood pellets.  I am sooo excited.  I have this strange desire to be warm as toast during the winter.  We live in this big old house (2300 sq. ft.) that is over 180 years old.  We have three, yes, THREE pellet stoves.  Sometimes the wind blows so hard around here it feels like we're living in Siberia.  During the summer, we die from the heat.... during the winter we freeze from the cold.... oh wait... is that just because we live in NY?

This is the first summer in a long time that I really feel as if I have accomplished something.  My goal has been to declutter & I've done just that.  I know I have a long way to go, but it's really noticeable - at least to me.  I think to others too though (at least one of the 'adopted daughters' noticed when she came over.... friends too).  I can't wait to finish up.  I have until the 26th.... that's when we're having our yard sale.  I have LOVED this summer.  It hasn't seem to go too fast or too slow.  It does seem like it's speeding up as we head towards the beginning of the school year though.

Then comes fall.... I have to say, I think fall is my favorite season.  I love the colors, the smells, the crisp nights, fires in the fire pit, the lack of corn pollen.  I love that 'settling in' feeling, that hunkering down for winter.  The soups & baking that occur more often.

I'm ready this year, thanks to our supply of wood pellets, I'll be warm as toast.

What's your favorite season?  Why?

Bye!  Love you!  Have a good day, Dear!

It's a Date!

I have a lunch date!!!  Naw.... not with King Turd of Poop Mountain.... although that would be nice... nope, it's with my friend Dawn.  I'm so excited!  I love getting together with her.  We're planning on meeting at a local pizza joint (her favorite spot to eat).

I know that we'll spend time talking about our dogs.  She has a black lab mix named, Remington.... yeah, after the gun... Dawn shoots skeet.... Me?  I'm lucky that I can just shoot the bull with someone...  She hunts too... And she makes her own cards - she stamps, I scrapbook - we're dying to go through each others stash.  She drinks hard liquor, I drink wine (Hazlitt 1852 Vineyards Red Cat).  She's an only child, I have 2 brothers & 3 step-brothers.

You would think that Dawn & I don't have much in common.  She's NOT a girly-girl.  She doesn't like pink & bright colors like I do, she likes colors - just not bright (and definitely NOT pink or purple).  She likes guns, & antique bubble gum & cigarette cards.  She drives a pickup, I drive a Mommy Mobile.  I have 3 kids, she has none.  I've been married twice & she's never been married.  Her teaching degree is in Biology!  Stuff that blows my mind... that no way can I figure out.... But then again, I teach AIS Math & that boggles some other people.

Anyhow, I didn't think I was going to like this girl when I first met her about 6 years ago.  She was quiet & didn't socialize much.  When she spoke, she seemed sharp.  The kids at school didn't care for her much because at that time she was the Internal Studies (aka Internal Suspension) Teacher.  So I had these preconceived notions in my head when I got stuck with her at a conference thing... and you know what I found out?  I DO like her - very much! She's VERY shy, she wears her heart on her sleeve, she's an only child, and she doesn't beat around the bush when she talks to you (which I like in a person - alot).  She is snarky (LOVE that trait too), she is one of the sweetest people you would ever want to meet.  And once you have her for a friend - you have a friend for life.

I'm glad I have had the experiences in my life that I've had.  Just so that I can be open to really SEE other people for who they really are.  I'm glad that I was wrong.  I can't wait to say 'Hi!'

Bye! Love you!  Have a good day, Dear!

No Tattling Allowed

There is absolutely NO TATTLING ALLOWED around here... especially about me.... especially to my mother (You know, Nana-next-door)!

Back in March we adopted a rescue dog we named, Jill, from Silver Linings for Pit Bulls, through them we met one of her foster moms, Aimee, down in North Carolina.  So Aimee likes to keep up on her 'babies' and see how they are doing.  This girl, is amazing!  She fosters TONS of animals - she has a whole herd of critters in her little 1000 sq. ft house!!

So anyhoot, Aimee sends me these pics of cute little 'pocket dogs' - little Chihuahuas (pronounced Chi - hoo-a-hoo-a..... at least around here... lol).  Me, being the all knowing mom that I am, knows that The Lego King would flip for a little 'pocket dog', and I tell her so.  I also stated that King Turd of Poop Mountain would KILL me if I brought one dog, let alone two into our house (KTPM: "If you bring one more animal into this house, someone has to LEAVE!").... Aimee, being the smarty-pants that she is, tells me that she's fostering a mama Chi & her three babies... then THAT. GIRL. SENDS. ME. A. VIDEO.!!

Awwwww, they are so CUTE!  I love 'em!  She has one black baby & two tan babies.  So in this one video, Tito (the black baby) is attacking this rug.  He's about as 'big as a minute'.  It was so cute, so I showed King Turd and he says.... get this.... 'Tell her we want him!'..... What?  What did he just say?...

Oh my goodness..... we're in the process, hopefully... of adopting, Tito..... My mother is going to pitch a fit.... 'cause she's that type of mother....So, IMA ask you all for a favor m'kay?.... don't tell her... DON'T tattle on me....  You know that saying?  "It's better to ask forgiveness, than to ask permission."?  Yeah, well that's my motto....

I know, I know!!!  I know I'm almost 50 years old (SHUT UP!!! I mean it!!  Stop snickering!)... but she's MY MOTHER!!!  And she, you know, lives next door!  It truly wasn't bad until she retired....

Don't be a tattle-tale!!

Bye!  Love you!  Have a good day, Dear!

Shhhh, It's a Secret!!

Shhhh, don't tell anyone.... but, I don't have anywhere to go today!  I know!!  Can you believe it?  Shh, shhh, shhh!!

There are a few things that I want to work on since I'm still in that ol' declutter mood.  And I've got shitloads piles of stuff to get rid of.

I did find my mojo yesterday & I did work upstairs in my craft room for an hour or two.  I did pick up downstairs here before I did that.  Vacuumed, swept, switched over a load of clothes & started a load of towels.

Today I think I'm going to work in my bedroom.  You know, the room you throw everything in because you're having company come?  Yeah, that room.  I figure if I get it cleaned out.  I can use it as a staging room for the big pieces of crap furniture that have to come downstairs.  In The Lego King's room alone there are 7 pieces of furniture alone!!  One metal closet type unit, a small triangular closet, 1 video rack (that he was using for his stuffed animals), 2 bookshelves (one is a Little Tykes & the other is black metal) and a video-rocker (you sit in it to play video games) and ... a tree.... It's this tree that you put together like a puzzle & the leaves (cut to resemble big green clouds) are the shelves.  We thought we'd use that for his stuffed animals.

Have you gotten the pattern here?  About the stuffed animals?  The other day I found a mesh pouched shoe rack thing you hang on your door for $6 at VOA, we're going to hang it over the door to the storage closet in his room.  It has a gazillion pockets for his gazillion stuffed animals.  I'm thinking that within the next few years (since he'll be in middle school) that they'll be going... but for now, it breaks his heart to part with them.

Well... I'd best get busy... before someone finds out... you know, about the secret.... shhhh!  I'm expecting you to keep mum!!

Bye!  Love you!  Have a good day, Dear!
